Certified Nursing Assistant
CNAs act as helpful liaisons between the RN or LPN serving as eyes and ears and relaying information to the RN and/or LPN. CNAs are responsible for providing direct patient care and performing patient-related activities as assigned.
Duties will vary, depending on the specific needs of the patient and include:
- Assist with feeding and personal hygiene, and adjusting patient positions as needed;
- Assess the physical conditions of patients to aid in diagnosis or treatment.
- Provide household services in order to maintain a safe, clean environment.
- Assist the patient in maintaining their daily activities and quality of lifestyle.
- Perform basic patient care skills.
